Old Edwards Inn and Spa Destination Wedding

When Kelly and Greg first visited our studio in Plaza Midwood, we talked about their love of the outdoors, (specifically the NC Mountains) their love of animals, (Kelly is a fellow animal rescuer and posts daily on facebook too:-) and their  love of red wine. — So it was just kind of impossible to not fall in love with them.
Then when we we ran into Greg (alone) cheering wildly at a neighborhood pizza place for his college football team..then glancing up and with a huge hug shouting ‘wait–you are our wedding photographer.’  …we fell more in love with them.
On their wedding day…when Kelly refused to put on her Jimmy Choo heels until the Very. Last. Second because she prefers bare feet…more love.
Their intimate, elegant, outdoor destination wedding was held at Old Edwards Inn and Spa in Highlands, NC –and it was perfection.  Laid back charm and so much beauty.  Simple elegance of neutrals colors like – beige, white with pops of green, fuchsia and gold. The overall feel was both causal and glamorous. (handled with perfection by the planning team at Shay Brown events.)
 
Our Favorite moments: 
– Kelly’s mom seeing her for the first time.  It was pretty much the best:-)
-Their ‘post wedding’ couples photographs.  I mean, man… they are dead sexy.
– Their first dance.  They took lessons (which…I highly recommend as most of us dance the ‘middle school dance’ which does not photograph well.  lol)   SO much happiness..and lot of twirling.  (and you know I love some twirling.)
-Greg and his mom’s FULLY choreographed dance..compete with many disco moves including the bump.  🙂 – The champagne tower.  (need I say more?)
– Kelly’s dad’s toast.  (his face…priceless.  SO much love and pride.)
