As I sit here ‘iced in’ and wondering if its too early for a ‘warm up’ of wine; I glanced across the street at the lovely VanLandingham Estate. It is covered in snow and it got me thinking of a gorgeous, Charlotte outdoor winter wedding I photographed a few years ago–and had not blogged! (Shame on me! )
Alexa and Thomas were married in an intimate/outdoor ceremony–and it was perfect.
Alexa wanted the night to feel magical, (And the fine folks at Nectar floral design stepped in to provide all of the ‘twinkle’ and modern aisle pieces and geometric ‘lanterns’ that certainly made it so) But, she also wanted it to feel laid-back and casual surrounded by laughing and lots of dancing.
–Mission accomplished.
This wedding was one of the first outdoor/’winter’ wedding I have photographed. It was simply gorgeous. A 6PM ceremony lit by only candlelight and string lights–amazing. I love everything about the ‘magical’ nature of what exchanging vows under string lights and stars offered.
Thank you Alexa and Thomas for having me document your day–and thank you ‘snowpocolypse 2016’ for jogging my memory of such perfect day.
