He: Loves Reese’s Pieces and a good IPA and the movie Old School.
Together they love to watch College Football, Travel, and go biking or hiking.
He proposed (in her words): ‘by faking her out’ — “We never shopped for rings or talked about an engagement. My birthday was coming up and so was my apartment lease.  I told Steven that if anything important/engagement was going to happen anytime soon then I would renew my lease until we got married, but if not then I wanted to move to a new location of Charlotte.  Rather than just telling me to find a new rental he helped and found a new apartment for me to move to. At this point I was pretty certain he wasn’t proposing now or in the near future. Two days later was my birthday.  We had dinner at Bentley’s on 27 . On our way home he took a right onto to Kings Drive, parked at the Greenway, had me get out in the freezing cold, and surprised me on one knee.  I was shocked and totally speechless.”
