As you may have guessed by my ‘sneak peeks’ I have been just a little more than excited to share this session! When I first met Ivy Robinson @ CFW last month I just loved her energy and ‘rock star’ personality and I knew I had to get her in front of my camera! My long love affair with Audrey Hepburn and her forever-timeless style (especially in Breakfast with Tiffany’s) lead to this session’s inspiration. Like most photogs–‘concepts’ constantly run their way around my brain and this one had been trapped in there for a while as I kept waiting for the ‘right’ couple to appear before my eyes.
Big, big BlueSky thanks to Ivy Robinson and her “hottie”-of-a-hubby, Scott Dunstan for rockin’ this concept with their awesome personalities and willingness to do whatever it took to get the shot. (including being accosted by an animal rights activist for wearing the faux-yes..I said faux.. fur coat!) –I definitely have a huge crush on these two! Special Thanks also goes out to Mariana Ruiz @ Cutting Image Salon who just blew us away with an updated version of Holly’s iconic hair and make-up. (Plus, she is quite frankly one of the nicest people I have ever met and does a good job of keeping this wacky mane of mine in check:-) The darling little ‘Swanky Peach,’ Melissa Lamkin, helped us out with the styling and teamed up with local NC jewelry designer Kristen Morris to locate the perfect (and in this case..handmade!) ‘Holly’ pearl necklace and matching earrings. Jessica Jarvis (a photog classmate-o-mine) assisted with the shoot and took some great ‘behind-the-scenes shots for us. Gracias, gracias and more gracias to all of you.
So…without further adieu, check out our take on a modern ‘Holly-go-lightly’–once she figured it all out and realized life just might better as ‘2.’ 🙂
