First of all, congrats on taking the leap and booking your boudoir photography session! It's going to be fun, an amazing experience, and super empowering for you. Wardrobe is an essential part of your boudoir session, using proper wardrobe that is not only beautiful but that flatters your body is just one of the many ways we ensure your session is a success. It doesn't have to be complicated. I am a believer in stripping down and keeping it basic. Less is more. In fact, we really love doing our 'implied nudes' in the sheets and highly recommend you give it a try!
Most of our clients also use our fantastic client wardrobe, and some opt to shop and bring their own hand selected pieces. Here is my cheat sheet for you to shop and know what to bring for your session. Hope it helps you! Feel free to reach out with questions any time so I can help you through this part of the process.
Arrive to the studio for your session in loose clothing, no socks.
Wardrobe Selection
Our client closet includes sizes S–4X. You're welcome to use only our pieces, but most clients bring a few personal options too. It’s best to overpack—we’ll help you choose what works best.
Please bring panties for trying on wardrobe items, and a black bra (solid or embroidered) if you prefer extra support for styling.
Accessories
Simple accessories go a long way. Think minimalist jewelry, knee-high socks, oversized sweaters, a robe, or a button-down. We have black stilettos in most sizes and a few extras, but feel free to bring your own—especially if you want colored heels. Barefoot is always an option too!
Moisturize
Moisturizing before your session is a plus. We also have lotion and an emergency kit on hand—just ask!
Hydration and Light Snacks
We offer water, light snacks, and a celebratory drink (hello, mimosas). Staying hydrated ahead of time is always a good idea.
An outfit for lunch
Most clients arrive in loose clothes, but after your glam session, you may want something that matches the vibe. Bring a cute outfit for lunch or post-session plans!
Hair Prep
Need a root or color touch-up? Schedule it early—chemical mishaps happen, and we want time to fix any issues before your session to avoid rescheduling fees. We don’t recommend new cuts, bangs, or color changes right before your shoot.
Wardrobe Planning
Haven’t scheduled your wardrobe consultation yet? Now’s the time! It’s a great chance to try on studio pieces, finalize your looks, or get inspired before shopping.
Get Inspired
Start imagining your dream boudoir outfits. Look through your closet for favorite pieces, browse Pinterest, or flip through magazines for fresh ideas.
Shopping Fun
Turn outfit hunting into an adventure—bring a friend or browse from home! We’ve put together a curated Amazon list of our top picks (linked below), plus some favorite stores—from luxe to budget-friendly (* = plus-size options).

Hair Removal
(If desired) Natural is totally fine with us, shaving or waxing is also perfectly acceptable. However, trying something new can sometimes cause a reaction like ingrown hairs or red rash bumps. Make sure you are experimenting well before your session if you're trying something new so you can show up and not worry about your nether-regions.
Skip Spray Tans or Tanning Lotions
Refrain from using spray tans or tanning lotions. These products, despite their natural appearance, can result in an undesirable orange hue that cannot be corrected in post-processing.
Nails
Natural nails are perfectly fine for your photoshoot, as long as they are well maintained and clean. If you'd like to get a mani/pedi or do it yourself, we advise for soft, neutral, or gem tones colors. Trendy shapes and bedazzles are fun, just make sure it's something you'll still love in 10-20 years after the style passes. Pictures are forever!
Hydration is Key
Drink lots of water to keep your skin healthy, plump, and clear. Exfoliate frequently, especially 2-3 days before your shoot (NOT the night before!). Avoid trying any new skincare products or changing your routine right before your session. Hydration and moisturization are the most important steps in healthy skin! Please avoid sun exposure as much as possible. Do not worry about looking "pasty" or "ashy" in your photos, I would rather add a subtle warm glow than have you show up with a sunburn or a spray tan.
Lingerie Preparation
Remove all pricing and sizing tags from your lingerie, including any permanent tags.
Final Wardrobe Choices
Narrow down your favorite outfits (if your session includes 5 wardrobe changes then narrow down to top 6 - if you are using yours solely). If you need help - bring them all we'll help narrow them down
Treat Yourself to a New Mani/Pedi
Indulge in a fresh manicure and pedicure. Just make sure your color/design choice is something you'll love years from now.
Stay Hydrated, Skip the Alcohol
Prioritize hydration by avoiding alcohol and drinking plenty of water to keep your skin glowing.
Nourish Your Skin
Don't forget to moisturize your skin for a radiant complexion.
Organize Your Boudoir Essentials
Prepare your boudoir bag the evening before to ensure you have all the essentials in place.
Final Check and Relaxation
Give your checklist a final review, then unwind and look forward to a pampering experience!
