For many women, booking a boudoir session isn’t about being fearless—it’s about deciding that confidence is worth pursuing even when fear is present.
For this incredible ER nurse, the biggest obstacle wasn’t posing, lingerie, or being in front of a camera.
It was her own self-consciousness.
Like so many women, she had always wanted to do a boudoir session, but doubts about her body held her back. Then one day, she saw a Bluesky Studios giveaway, won $1,000 off her experience, and decided to take it as a sign.
“It was my sign to go for it.”
And thankfully, she did.

Nervous, Excited, and Ready to Try Something New
Before her session, she felt exactly what most women feel:
Nervous.
Excited.
A little unsure of what was ahead.
The funny thing about boudoir is that almost every woman believes she’s the only one feeling that way.
She’s not.
The truth is that nerves are completely normal. They’re often just a sign that you’re about to do something outside of your comfort zone.
Easier Than She Ever Expected
One of the biggest surprises for her was how quickly she settled into the experience.
“It was easier to fall into than I expected.”
Instead of feeling awkward or uncomfortable, she found herself having fun.
A lot of fun.
She quickly found the rhythm of the session, trusted the process, and allowed herself to enjoy being the center of attention for a change.
“I didn’t expect to have so much fun doing it!”
Of course, there was one surprise she wasn’t expecting…
“How sore I was the next day!” 😂
Boudoir posing is definitely a workout.
A Day That Was Completely About Her
As an ER nurse, she’s used to caring for other people.
Her session gave her something many women rarely allow themselves:
A day focused entirely on them.
“I felt very comfortable and empowered. Elly did a wonderful job making me feel like everything was about me.”
That’s exactly what a boudoir experience should feel like.
A chance to stop pouring into everyone else and spend a few hours pouring into yourself.
More Than Beautiful Photos
The biggest transformation wasn’t just what happened in front of the camera.
It was what happened afterward.
“I definitely feel more confident in my body and my own sexuality after this session.”
Seeing yourself through a different lens can be incredibly powerful.
Sometimes we spend years focusing on flaws, insecurities, and the things we’d like to change.
Then suddenly, you’re looking at photographs and realizing something unexpected:
You are already beautiful.
You are already enough.
You are already worthy of taking up space.

Her Advice? Just Do It.
For anyone sitting on the fence, wondering if they’re too shy, too nervous, or not confident enough, her advice is simple:
“Just do it! Get out of your head and take the leap! You won’t regret it!”
And honestly, that’s what so many Bluesky Studios clients discover.
The confidence doesn’t come before the session.
The confidence comes because of it.
Sometimes all it takes is one leap of faith to see yourself in a completely different light. ❤️
