“I have had trauma in my past—domestic violence. I work with other women who have been through the same. It makes you feel very ‘small’ and insignificant. I’ve done a LOT of healing, and I AM a kick-ass chick. I want to capture the woman I am now. I want to capture the fire that has always burned inside of me that so many have tried to snuff out.”

When she walked into the studio, she carried that fire with her.
