Patty and Monty wanted a low-key (Yet still amazing and elegant) way to wed and settled in on a Biltmore Estate elopement--just the two of them with Monty’s three children serving as pint-sized witnesses.
I excitedly drove to Biltmore (As for some reason,  in all of the stunning places I’ve photograph both in and out this country–I had never photographed at Biltmore!)   ..and as I drove,  the rain began to fall in sheets.
For hours.
As Patti and her soon-to-be step daughter dressed and chatted…it continued to rain.
However, just as they set out to wed…the rain stopped, the sun shined and we due to rain we had Biltmore Estate just about to ourselves!  (Which–if you have ever visited you know the constant flow of visitors/busses.)  Perfection.
 
Vows were exchanged overlooking the blue ridge mountains and the 5 of them toasted the nuptials and shared in some cake. (with an intimate family dinner to follow the next day at Strada Italian restaurant.)
Intimate and perfect.
