Glamorous Foundation for the Carolinas Wedding- Megan and Philip

Megan and Philip:

Glamorous Foundation for the Carolinas Wedding
When Megan and Philip messaged me about photographing their Foundation for the Carolinas Wedding I had asked them to ‘tell me something they are passionate about’  and they answered ‘sour patch watermelon candy’ (he on behalf of she;-) and she followed up with ‘each other’ and their ‘rescue dog….I knew we would hit it off fabulously.  ( Since I only photograph 20 wedding per year –asking someone’s passions often gives me an idea as to whether we will ‘click’ or not.)
They wanted their day to be classically elegant and filled with fun for their guests. (Meg’sPoffie Girls gown was amazing as was Philip’s custom tux, the full length coral bridesmaid’s dresses and 220 North Tryon/FFTC is the perfect urban spot for an intimate/elegant/urban wedding.)

A few of my favorite ‘highlights’ of their day:

  •  The look on Megan’s mother’s face when she saw her coming down the aisle…and Philips too:-)
  • Having lots of time with both the ‘girls’ and the ‘guys’ to create some really unique portraits.  (Often, a day can be rushed but with the help of the awesome planning team at Head Over Heels–we all collaborated on timelines giving us more freedom to create beautiful things:-)
  • The show-stealing flower girl
  • Their custom silhouette cake topper–which included their pup!
  • Their first dance!  (Exhibit A as to why every couple should take dance lessons prior to their wedding.  #thatliftyall!!)
  • Philips dance moves (Ive never seen a group of guys dance to ‘Single Ladies’ until now;-)
  • The sour patch watermelon favors
  • The happy couple departing through a grand sparkler exit into a horse drawn carriage

Megan and Philip–thank you so much for having me as part of your day!
Cheers to much love..and epic adventures! (and more rescue dogs:-)

  1. […] You may remember the glamorous Foundation for the Carolinas Wedding I posted a few months back. (Hint:  it was the best first dance of 2015, which featured our dapper groom, Philip picking Megan up off of the ground for an amazing twirl and ending with an epic dip;-)  You can see the full feature:  Glam Foundation for the Carolinas Wedding […]
