I have a gypsy heart.
Travel…it’s in my blood.
And, for the ‘glamorous, fearless and fiery’ kindred spirits who feel the same, I need not explain why.

So when my amazing photog friend , Heather Richardson helped not only arrange for a shoot in the mountains of Colorado; but also drove me to the location and assisted by holding a light on the edge of mountain in the dark!  (#badass)  I now had the opportunity to photograph two such souls at the stunningly gorgeous Red Rocks in Denver Colorado for ‘Part 2’ of their engagement session.  I was thrilled!  Red Rocks is simply magical and Christine and Nathan are not only model-gorgeous…but all around awesome peeps.
However, the  weather forecast had other plans and caused us to reschedule
Then called for an even worse forecast the night of rescheduled shoot (My last night in Denver) …to say I was disappointed would be an understatement.

However, the good news about ‘glamorous/fearless/fiery’ folks…they give no @#$%’s. 

So after being stuck in traffic, Christine and Nathan arrived to Red Rocks at the edge of sunset..in the pouring rain.
We scampered precariously through a wild sunflower field and mountain edges as dusk abruptly unfolded into pitch black.  (Where we then proceeded to lose Christine’s cellphone and shortly thereafter my camera bag causing us to utilize a remaining cellphone as flashlight. –We also used the same flashlight to try and catch focus in the dark–no easy task.lol )
Though time was short–I am just in love with the images we were able to capture.  Moody, romantic and with a bit of a fashion-edginess.

BONUS:  Christine has an ADORABLE son who had come along for the ride.   So we absolutely had to grab a few family images. (And…he was a fab ‘lighting assistant #2’ as he was the one holding the iphone to allow me to focus:-)
