I’m so elated that Tanya and Merhdad chose me as their wedding photographer. There’s the obvious reason, being that they are getting married in the Dominican Republic this May… but there are so many more. They both really love and appreciate art, traveling, meeting new people, and exploring new areas. They’re adventurous. Huge bonus – they also love to dance… they are also flying in their own DJ in for their wedding. Ahhh… I can not wait!
They both currently live in Atlanta right now and until their engagement session, all of our correspondence were over e-mail and the phone. Once they booked, I had them fill out an “about us” form. On this form, under each questions I have a “B” for bride and “G” for groom – As I was reading their responses I got more and more excited seeing how much we have in common and how interesting they are as individuals and as a couple. The most interesting thing was under Hobbies, Fun and what you do in your leisure time. “B” had Poker listed as one of her hobbies. I got super excited thinking Tanya really was a girl after my own heart… until I went on to read “G’s” response and saw things like “decorate the home, brunch with friends, dessert, etc.” That’s when I realized they took “B” to mean Boy and “G” to mean girl. This is why I shouldn’t assume people know what I mean. It was a funny for me to read it the wrong way though. 🙂

After meeting and photographing them in Charlotte, I can say they are everything I imagined them to be and more. They are full of life, adventure and truly love each other. I really can not wait for your wedding in Punta Cana this May!!!
