Erin and I go way back… like middle school days! Somehow we’ve managed to stay friends after all these years. It was such an honor to be such a big part of her day. I felt so privileged to be there when her daddy choked up during his speech at rehearsal, then when he saw her for the first time, to see Todd and Erin share a long embrace in a room by themselves right after the ceremony. This is why I love what I do, and it’s even better when it’s a life long friend. Of course it helps that everything took place at The Loft at Union Square – that place is so gorgeous! I could shoot there all day and still want to shoot more. All the vendors were amazing – dream team for sure. Then there’s the fact that Erin is and has always been STUNNING! Did you know she won Miss Teen NC in 2003? Beauty and the brains to go with it. Her bridesmaids said this while giving their speeches and it’s totally true – we all knew that the man she’d marry would have to be special and she found him after all this time. 🙂 You may see a few photos of me at the reception – I got to put on my dancing shoes and join the party (with the exception of photographing a few of the main events). I brought in Dianne, one of my dearest friends and photographers to take over along side Kim who had been shooting with me all day. This was also the first time I got to work with my new assistant / intern Don – Um… let’s just say I’m more than excited about having his help. He knew exactly what to do before I asked and this was our first time working together! Hope you enjoy.
