Published! – Carolina Bride Cover Shoot – Edwards Inn and Rockwood Lodge in Highlands, NC

As most of you know, I had decided to take a break from running Elly’s Photography for the year of 2013. I continued photographing weddings I had already contracted under Elly’s Photography but all of my new weddings and sessions had been booked Old South Studios(OSS). It was a great year, and honestly provided a much needed break allowing me to reflect on the past 9 years of photographing weddings, and work on not only becoming a better photographer, but also learning how to run a business more efficiently.
I have decided that I’m ready to move forward and have ended that chapter of my life. I’m so excited to be building my business again and to have the opportunity to work with each client more closely so that I can better tell their unique story through my art. With that being said, I would be honored if you would continue to keep me in mind next time you hear of anyone needing wedding coverage or a maternity, senior, or newborn session. I am so excited to see what is to come for Elly’s Photography. I have big dreams and no intentions of quitting before they happen. 🙂

One of the most exciting events from 2013 was when Julie (owner of OSS and a good friend) and I got to do a Cover shoot for Carolina Bride. It was an amazing two day shoot in Highlands, NC working with the best of the best vendors. Every wedding photographers dream. I have photographed a couple magazine covers in the past but nothing this extravagant. I was ecstatic and so honored when I heard they chose one of my images for the cover. Below is a feature of our models Beth and Daryl. I also had the privilege of photographing their wedding at the beginning of 2013. All the images below were taken by me.
