Meet Shannon.  Physician, world traveler and one hot mama.  (she also happens to be a former classmate of mine from a Light Factory Bill Lusk Lighting course a few years ago..:-)
When Shannon first  inquired about a maternity session she noted we did not have many maternity images posted on our blog/website and asked was it something we even did.  I admitted  to her even though we do include them in our ‘Welcome Baby’ program many of our mamas-to-be forgo them and add an extra session with baby and I had not done many.  (Candidly, they tended to be my least fave as ‘traditional’  maternity images…well…kinda make me yawn. So I have admittedly not tried to build this aspect of the business..)
However, I told Shannon I would honored to photograph the 2 of them under one condition…we stayed away from ‘classic’ maternity portraiture and attempt to tailor her session to focus a bit on ‘the bump’…but as importantly..focus on  her pre-baby life to best document the world Baby Finnegan will be a part of soon. Specifically–city living, his ‘brother’ Vagas the cat and mamas undying cravings for ice cream.  🙂


Thank you so much Shannon for allowing me to be a part of your journey–I can not wait to meet baby Finn soon!  (and you were such a trooper dodging traffic 7 mo. preg to get our ‘city images’ *wink*)
A PS to anyone reading this:  I am playing around a bit with my B&W processing.  I can not decide if I am loving the ‘warms’ or more ‘traditional’ B&W so this session includes both.  Any thoughts welcomed!
